Cool *Free* Tool for Insuring Your Stuff

August 31, 2010

Whether you rent or own your place, it’s always a good idea to insure the contents of your home against fire, theft, and all those other things we hope will never happen but sometimes do. But I’ve personally always found it a bit of a challenge determining the value of all my stuff. Moreover, if I ever did need to file a claim, would I be able to remember all that I’d lost? Happily, I’ve recently discovered a great free “home inventory” software called What You Own, that allows you to organize and categorize your stuff, upload pictures and even print a report when you’re done. The software is free (worth repeating that!), easy to install and intuitive to use. And if you don’t believe me, CNET’s editors said it really “blows us away.”
